Shawn Humpherys was initiated into Local Lodge 1759 in 1987 when he began his career with United Airlines and transferred to Local Lodge 1287 in 1995. Humpherys has served the membership in various positions within the IAM. These positions include Grievance Committee Chairman, LL Vice President, LL President, District Lodge 141 Educator, and District Lodge 141 Assistant General Chairperson. In 2013, Humpherys was appointed Special Representative to the Air Transport Territory and was elevated shortly thereafter to Grand Lodge Representative.
