James Carlson was initiated into Local Lodge 1322 in New York City in 1992. Carlson’s record of union experience ranges from Shop Steward, Ramp Committeeman, Grievance Committee Chairman, Local Lodge President, Vice President, and Trustee. Carlson also served as a District Lodge 141 Educator. In 2012, Carlson joined the Air Transport Territory as a Communication Representative. In March 2016, Carlson was promoted to Assistant Airline Coordinator, where he also serves as the Territory Organizing Leader.
Carlson holds a bachelor’s degree from Columbia University and a master’s degree in Industrial Labor Relations from Cornell University.
